Disgaea anime

The announcement of the Disgaea anime happened around 2005,and debuted in 2006 with a total of 12 episodes.There were two trailers involved,the first promotional footage,Makai Senki Disgaea Makai e no Shotaijo [Limited Release]DVD.This same trailer can be found in the english version of Disgaea 2 at the title screen in the game.
The second trailer appeared in the japanese version of Disgaea 2,where Laharl,Etna,and Flonne tell just how great the anime is going to be right infront of cast of Disgaea 2,and while going a bit overboard with it.At this point Adel and the rest think they are all crazy.
The DVDs are already available,you can check out import stores for them[check out the media section].

Will there be an english release?
The DVDs are already scheduled to come in December 2006.

Is the anime worth it?
Keep in mind this is my personal opinion,if you dont like it,then keep in mind I'm not forcing you to agree to it either.The anime was pretty much a rush job,at first the first trailer made the quality of the anime look fantastic and really looking forward to.Sadly,right after episode 2,the quality just dies,the anime just seems at complete random.It kind of does stick to the main plot from the game,but not entirely.The ending they give you is also the Normal ending at the end.For Disgaea fans,you should know what this ending is,its the least favorite ending,for some.Majority of the Disgaea fans disliked how the anime turned out,not saying this is a fact,but I havent heard that much good comments about it.
